Heptonstall - A Most Gothic Village
Photographs And Discoveries From A Holiday In Hebden Bridge

Introduction
When I go on holiday, I take photographs, and I store them on a hard drive, and put some favourites into a folder that displays them as my computer wallpaper, changing them every thirty minutes.
When I was in Hebden Bridge, I wanted to visit the grave of Sylvia Plath. That took me to Heptonstall, where I also discovered the grave and that of "King" David Hartley, which I recorded here:

More Heptonstall
Heptonstall is a small village in Yorkshire with a population of around 1500 living residents and over 100,000 deceased. Despite being a small village, it houses 3 churches and 5 graveyards.
I didn't know about the huge number of deceased, and that maybe contributes to the gothic feel of the village, and I am not the only one who feels that. Check out this Instagram reel:

Heptonstall is high above Hebden Bridge, and in my laziness, I took the bus there and was very pleased I did.

Conclusion
I know this is short, but I just wanted to share what a delight it is when these pictures appear on my computer, and they will always take me back to my time in Heptonstall, and I do want to return there one day.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you manage to watch the videos and enjoy the pictures I have shared.
