New Year Eve
In the Gregorian calendar, New Year's Eve, also known as Old Year's Day, is the evening or the entire day of the last day of the year, 31 December. In many countries, New Year's Eve is celebrated with dancing, eating, drinking, and watching or lighting fireworks. Some Christians attend a watchnight service. The celebrations generally go on past midnight into New Year's Day, 1 January.

Someone asked me how I want to live my 2024 and here is my answer. 1)I want to live for every radiant sunrise that sets my hopes akin to the day and it sets my intentions for the day. Where I wake up in gratitude for everything that god has bestowed me with, to live and to let live myself and the ones who stride their life with me. I want to live in the beauty and awe of how much I have achieved and in the curious strive for everything I desire.

New Year New You?
The definition of a resolution is a firm commitment to do something or not do something -- therefore, with New Year's officially being today, I wanted to know what are your thoughts on New Year's resolutions? I'll share my views on them -- for starters, I do not think they are stupid. I actually love goal setting and also realizations of awareness when something doesn't serve you anymore, to stop doing it. However, I do believe that these things don't have to wait until a whole new calendar year comes around to begin action. For example, if it's September 6 and I realize that eating unhealthy is causing me to gain weight and is just overall not good, why wait until January 1st of the next year to take action?

No drinking for me and the hubby today or tonight. Before recovery and then since I have been in recovery, I have heard many people say, we are staying in tonight as it is amateur night. This means that people will be out who don’t know how to hold their drinks and there will be accidents and it will be drunk and ugly, a fright.
