Stress
Stress! Stress is a mental or emotional strain which is caused from extreme pressure or tension. Stressing is the way that your body tells you that enough is enough and it just can't take anymore. Stress puts pressure on you mentally and physically. There are so many different things that can cause stress. The list is endless, and what may be stressful to you may not be stressful to me; everyone is different and everyone handles stress very differently. Some people can be stressed out when there is a major change in their life, like losing a job or starting a new school.

Loving
Loving ourselves comes difficulty, much more so than loving others. We as people tend to look past flaws in others and love them as they are, or even embrace flaws as strengths while focusing on the flaws in ourselves and damning ourselves for them. We, as a species, want to give love but have forgotten how to, and I believe it stems from damning ourselves. If we don't love ourselves, we have difficulty understanding how to love others, myself included.

The Truth will Set You Free, but First it Will Pizzazz You Off
Approval and admiration is more sought over than the "truth." The truth hurts at times because think about it, often times being wrong or questioning our outlook on life feels unnatural. For some, it feels like death.

11 Things We Need to Re-Learn from Kindergarten
This country, in my opinion, is falling apart and separating from each other because of our political opinions. It's sad really. It makes me miss kindergarten when everyone was friends. Everyone was learning to be polite. Everyone was friends with each other, even if you had different thoughts on the best cartoon. Maybe we should be sent back there to re-learn a few basic things:

Meaningful Holidays
It hit me this year, earlier than usual, the stress surrounding the holiday season. I walked into the local World Market days before Halloween, and there was Christmas! The holiday season has become such a shopping event, that we are being presented with Christmas trees, winter clothing, and decorations while it is still warm outside. Unfortunately, this continued redefinition of the season creates undo stress.

Dear younger me, Let's have a chat. I want to tell you about a few things that you're going to go through from about the time you turn 4, up until you're a teenager. You're not always going to have the easy route, actually you never will have that easy route, but you got this.

Mindsets I Had to Kick to the Curb
Now, I'm not here to tell you that this will help with everything. I'm not here to tell you that happiness is a choice either. What I want to talk about are the mindsets we carry with us that affect our lives every day. The choices we make are important, and how we make these decisions are even more important. Here are the mindsets I had learned over time, and then had to unlearn.

Staying Positive
You probably hear it all the time,"stay positive" or "don't let people bring you down," etc. In reality, it's hard to focus on being positive when all it really is to us is wishful thinking. To stay positive, you have to better your outlook on life. Take it step by step but be more optimistic. Everyone will always stumble into a negative position, or problem. When you do, you should ask yourself, "What is the one thing that is positive/good out of this situation?" Instead of worrying, and thinking on the downside, think about what good can come out of it, and what you can do to fix it—although it can take you time to process your thoughts and feelings it's always good to ask yourself those questions.

Living a 40 Plus Lifestyle
I remember a conversation I was having with a friend about her struggles with her weight as she is 'getting older' and then she said to me the dreaded piece of information that turned things around and hit the nail right on the head, as to why she was struggling -
