Blade Runner 2049 was a success in nearly every way; fans of the original were finally rewarded for their patience and loyalty, those unfamiliar with the original were treated to a gorgeous, intriguing, and immersive new world populated by dynamic, morally ambiguous characters, and cinephiles were astounded by Villeneuve's ambitious directorial skill, which was further enhanced by Deakins's nuanced cinematography and Zimmer and Wallfisch's ambient score. The movie paid homage to the original, with plenty of subtle easter eggs, Harrison Ford's return to the role of Deckard, and even several of the musical motifs from Vangelis's original score. The film's visual effects were state-of-the-art, further helping to craft a believable and mysterious, albeit bleak, world.

Fan Entitlement Is Getting Excessive
When’s the sequel coming out? This question has probably been around for as long as entertainment has been made. However, only recently has it gone from something a person thinks in their head to something you throw in a famous persons DMs. I think we all appreciate the fact that we are more connected to celebrities, athletes, and artists than ever before but it has enabled a minority of fans to develop a sense of entitlement. This sense of entitlement has probably always existed but social media now allows “fans” to lash out at entertainers when their standards aren’t met. This is not inherently problematic but it becomes so when some fans have zero sympathy for those who create our favourite forms of entertainment.

An Evaluative Approach to 'Zutara'
Avatar the Last Airbender is a popular animated series co-created and produced by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Running from February 2005 to July 2008, the show gained a sizeable fan base, including teenagers and adults, despite being aired on the children’s network, Nickelodeon. It takes place in a world where people are divided into four nations, each aligning with one of the four major elements: earth, fire, water, and air. Certain individuals are born with an ability to control one of these elements, a talent referred to as “bending.” The “Avatar” is a reincarnated soul, able to control all four elements and tasked with the duty of maintaining peace. Avatar centers around a 100-year war between nations, with the Fire Nation being the main antagonist, and follows the current Avatar, Aang, as he struggles to master the elements. Two of the most important parts of the show are the depth of its characters and the relationships they formed. Viewers especially took interest in the romantic relationships in the series, sparking much debate about the “canon,” or official, couples. The most highly discussed debate is whether Katara, one of the main characters, should’ve ended up with Zuko, the fire nation prince, rather than Aang.
