comics
From Marvel to DC, Geeks explores the popular and independant comic titles in the geek universe.
No Man's Land
If you know anything about me, you know I love comics, specifically Batman comics. My all time favorite comic book series is the No Man’s Land series. This comic, along with The Dark Knight and Knight Fall, helped inspire the The Dark Knight Rises, which is one of my favorite comic book based trilogies.

5 Iconic Elements Comics Borrowed from Their Own Adaptations
The success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been bleeding back into the original comics universe for years now, with mixed results. The Guardians of the Galaxy got quick and dirty redesigns to match their first movie as soon as it came out and the less said about the convoluted hoops Marvel jumped through to have a Samuel L Jackson-esque black Nick Fury in their main comics universe the better (especially given they had such a character, the one the movies copied even, in their dying Ultimate Universe, just waiting for a lifeboat over).

Are Comic Books Running out of Steam?
Comic books permeate our culture to a greater degree than ever before. It seems that you can’t open a magazine, switch on the television, or even stroll through the supermarket without coming face to face with some spandex clad hero. And yet, despite this social acceptance of a culture once considered relatively niche, sales continue to be middling to poor, and the grand story arcs that set readers abuzz in years gone by have all but disappeared. Is the comic book industry one that is running out of steam?

Time-Traveling Dinosaurs and 9-Year-Old Super Geniuses
I've finally decided to get around to Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, but never had the time to read it until now. This run started back in 2016 and was written by Brandon Montclare and Amy Reeder, with art done by Natacha Bustos. I've really wanted to read this story ever since the Inhumans vs. X-Men storyline and now I finally got a chance to read it, and better yet, write about it.

A Man Loyal to the Dream
We're going into the first issue of the Captain America run by Ta Nehisi Coates because I have heard very good things about his writing, and his run on Black Panther. And I have to say, that Coates knows what he is doing with the Captain America character, especially when it comes to showing the impact that Secret Empire has had on Steve Rogers and the people he cares about. Coates goes into some pretty serious topics in the issue, and presents a philosophical dilemma that Rogers must come to terms with. The artwork by Lenil Francis Yu, who illustrated Superman: Birthright, does a fantastic with the job too.

Comics They Should Try Making into Anime/Manga
For those of you who are familiar with Marvel Comics, you need no introduction to this particular movie. After watching this awesome film, it got me thinking about what else they can do anime/manga wise for Marvel, DC, and any other items from popular culture. This article I present to you is my suggestion for what they should do.
