Kargil Vijay Diwas: A Day to Remember the Martyrdom of Brave Soldiers
23rd Kargil Vijay Diwas India successfully took command of the high outposts on this date in 1999. The Kargil war lasted more than 60 days and ended on the 26th of July 1999. The Pakistani army took advantage of the melting snow and controlled the high outposts of India, betraying the bilateral agreement between the two countries to keep the post unattended over the winter.

In 1633, the Ottoman Empire Sultan Murad IV (Murad IV) issued a “coffee ban”, which prohibits drinking coffee in public places, regardless of the punishment of violators. He would travel all over Istanbul in disguise, wave his sword, and personally execute those who violated the order.
