How Can Someone with an Aversion to Cold Winters Survive All Our Weather Seasons?
By escaping, whenever possible like Houdini to warm climates during the peak winter months --- survival is possible! Brayden and his wife Brianne vacationed with us as couples (during the winter months) to Honolulu for several weeks each year to escape the cold inclement weather. We pursued this annual tradition for almost a decade until his wife passed away.

It Was All Downhill From There....
Imagine, if you can, it’s 1969. I’m a physically and emotionally, perky young girl of nineteen. I’ve just been invited by my best girlfriend and her older sister, to go skiing! Oh, yea! I’m between boyfriends, so bored, lonely and again, nineteen…

What are You Doing Under There?
As long as I can remember, I’ve hated wearing undergarments. I don’t like getting wrapped up in pajamas either. Come to think of it, I should probably live in a nudist community. No, my loving friends and family, I won’t seriously entertain that notion.

A Snippet of Shame
In my experience, being alive is just creating a catalog of ill-timed, misconstrued incidents, one for you to look back on when your mind is feeling unoccupied, or you're just feeling a little too happy. I'd even go as far as to say they're one of the strongest enforcers of this existence of mine.

One Glass of Merlot
I’ll move the glass of merlot again, just a little bit closer to the edge of the table, in case Derek can’t see it. I am sitting at a small table for two in a quaint French bistro in Manhattan. I find myself fidgeting in my seat, waiting for my date. I met Derek in an online wine discussion forum. For six months we have chatted, first on the group page and then through text. It had been Derek’s idea to meet, and I had gladly accepted. The more we talked, the more I realized how much we had in common, until now, that is…

To The Grave
You pour yourself another glass of rum, this time with no mixer. It’s your fourth of the night, and your vision begins to blur. You feel warm and friendly, smiling as your sister-in-law passes by you, stroking your shoulder gently with her supple hand. Her auburn hair sways before your eyes, and you find it hard to take your eyes away from it. You feel another tap on your shoulder moments later. You turn towards it, and see your wife, ‘Having a good time?’ she asks, smiling.

The Autobiography of a Fractured Soul
This is not a traditional autobiography. I will not talk about my entire life story. Instead, I wish to focus in on a few key moments in my life and write about them as if they are their own short stories. These 'short stories' will not be in chronological order of my life. I hope this doesn't put anyone off from reading. There will be no set schedule as to when I will write. I must warn you, some of the stories I will share are not pleasant and are extremely personal. I only wish to have somewhere to write about my experiences in life without judgement or ridicule. Thank you for reading this.
