Theseus sighed as he picked up a stone and threw it into the ocean. Usually, he would be able to make it skip for at least ten times, even if he was having a bad day. But whether it was because he was sitting on the sand or he just didn’t care, the stone sank with a single plop a half mile away.

This is Why
Jenny hadn’t meant for this to happen. Alright...that was a lie. As soon as Jenny saw how close Steven was to the girl...Trina? Yes, as soon as she saw how close Steven was to Trina, Jenny knew Trina was going to get involved in some way. That it was only a matter of time before Steven told Trina how Jenny was haunting him. Jenny figured that Trina, being the good-natured, infatuated young woman that she was, would do everything in her power to help her boyfriend.

Why?
“Trina! Over here!” Trina turned her head, and her heart threatened to leap out of her chest when she saw Steven waving his arm in a big, exaggerated motion, with a giant smile on his face. Trina fell in love with her boyfriend all over again as she navigated past the clusters of tables towards him. It had only been a few months since they started dating, but Trina was still very much in the honeymoon phase of courtship. The phase where everything that Steven did for her made her feel like she could fly if she just jumped off a chair. The phase where everything Steven said with that bright smile of his made her feel like she was made out of rainbows and sugar.

Me, Myself, and I
“Alright. Get in, get out.” “What do you mean, get in, get out? You have to buy stuff for a party!” “Yeah, but I know exactly what I need to get. None of that anxious debating between two items for who knows how long. And it’s just stuff for French bread pizza. The others are bringing the rest of the stuff. And I already got the cheese at the other store. Man, I was lucky there was a sale!”
