Fiction A body on the bridge 1. I remember thinking. Will this photo catch their eyes? It’s dark even though there were lights on the bridge. Then I thought, maybe the title would grab them. Something with death as a quiet wink beneath the title. There was a horrible crime in my city, what a perfect and terrible thing.

I was certain that every encounter would lead to bullying. These strangers all had a plan, and they would turn their backs on me. I would be burnt like sienna if they rejected me. I would never leave the house again because of it, my body and mind would be like an open wound.

He kept the light on . Content Warning.
He passed his finger along a jagged edge of paper, but a door flung open, a pervasive memory of the past instead of a paper cut. The scene played as if it were nurturing. There was no movement. He knew the path the way he knew his mother. He thought his past would play a different song, but it was a race car reversing backwards. The person that changed everything came too close and it might cause a dangerous end to the present.
