We Are the Ones

The love of a dog (or two)

We are the ones who are there when you are down

We wait for you when you’re not around

We know if you go out, you will always return

We lay by the window, and let our ears burn

πŸ•πŸ’™πŸ•πŸ’™

When we hear your footsteps on the street

When you return, our lives become complete

When your car pulls up, we know it's tone

When you come inside, we’re glad you're home.

πŸ•πŸ’™πŸ•πŸ’™

Your hand on us comforts us as we sleep

Your presence is all that we really seek

Your life and ours have become so entwined

Your love it nourishes our hearts and minds.

πŸ•πŸ’™πŸ•πŸ’™

We love for you, and we always try to show

A little lick, so you will know

We love you for all you do and for keeping us safe

We are the ones you can’t replace

πŸ•πŸ’™πŸ•πŸ’™

[A/n: There is nothing quite like the love of a dog. Especially when they greet you after you have been out. It is like you have been gone for years. I owe so much to my two little mates. They have done their best to keep me sane. (Not sure if it has worked!)]

Till next time,

Calvin
