The fiery red hair, the sparkling green eyes and that beautiful smile.
The feisty personality,
free spirit,
The mouth of a sailor.
This is the woman who I learned my first cuss word from.
The woman, who would get up at six am when we had a sleep over at her and papas house, and would make homemade pancakes for us
The woman, who would drive, my brother and I, to “Wendy’s” for lunch with an expired drivers license.
The woman, who had five children and sacrificed, her own wants and needs for her family.
The woman, who had eleven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and loved, them all the same. Had three great great grandchildren she never got the chance to meet.
The woman, who shared her life with my papa for almost sixty yearss
before god had us all say goodbye to her on one summer night
The woman, with such wisdom and grace
The woman, was my grandmother who I miss and love so much
Love you grandma
About the Creator
Jennifer lindquist
I’ve always had a interest in poetry since I took a creative writing class in high school. Writing poetry is my safe place where I can either get positive or sometimes negative energy out by my writing of poetry.
