April Showers and Rainbows Across the Sky

Tiptoeing through the daisies
Splashing in the puddles
Clad in a bright coat and galoshes
Twirling a tricolored umbrella
Opened for protection
From the gentle falling rain
Like diamonds tossed in the sky
The sun shines in the drops
When the Dogwood starts to bloom
The bees buzz around
Sweet peas scent the air
With their heavenly aroma
With rainbows above
The clover blooms below
Kittens playing in Easter baskets
Pups chasing sticks
Rabbits hopping
Deer loping along
Birdsong brings joy
Raising hopes
With the lengthening of days
Sparking pleasure
With being outdoors
As temperatures rise
With the closing of winter
While the color bleeds
Into the spring landscape
New life all around
New beginnings everywhere

So beautiful. I loved that you have mentioned many plants. I could visualize.
Lucky are those who get joy from birdsong. I always get triggered by it, lol. Loved your wonderful poem!
