Patience Is Respect

For Ourselves And Others

By Ruth Elizabeth StiffPublished about 23 hours ago 1 min read
Patience

“A man (or a woman)

who is a master of patience

is a master of everything else.”

Having “patience” in our lives

means that we have

control of our lives.

We live in a fast-paced world

which, sometimes,

wants everything now.

Learning to have patience in our lives

encourages us to appreciate

the ‘moment’ even more

when we receive something.

It is also good to have patience with ourselves,

because every one of us has different abilities.

Having patience with ourselves

is respecting ourselves.

“Patience” nurtures

resilience,

compassion and

kindness,

which are vital ‘qualities’

needed in today’s society.

This helps to pave the way

for a more enduring and thoughtful approach

towards life and the challenges we face every day.

Patience makes us mentally strong.

The idea of being patient with yourself really hits. It reminds me that growth isn’t the same for everyone, and rushing yourself can actually be a form of self-pressure. This feels like a gentle reminder to treat yourself with the same understanding you’d give others.
