Finding Strength in the Quiet Abyss

When a person stands on tiptoe to get closer to the sun, the whole world cannot block their light. Perhaps you are going through your toughest time right now, but please do not lose your courage. I know you have felt hate, heartbreak, and breakdown; I know you have doubted yourself and worried about the future.

No matter what, remember to take care of yourself, give yourself confidence, and hold onto hope. Every hurdle is difficult, but every hurdle will pass. The road ahead may be long, but it will be bright. One day, you will usher in your own shining moment.

I heard a quote a long time ago: In the darkest moments of life, grand principles and inspirational quotes are useless. Cake, cola, milk tea, or hot pot—none of them can help, not even family. Even the love of friends can only alleviate anxiety; it cannot drive away the darkness.

What truly pulled me out of the abyss was myself. No one knows what I went through during that time. After enduring every passing second, I was no longer the same person I used to be.

In this world, during the most difficult times, often only you can pull yourself out of the mire. No one can bear your pain for you, nor can anyone experience your happiness for you. When you have tasted the ruthlessness of society, the pressure of money, and the unbearable nature of love, you finally understand: no matter how big someone else’s roof is, it is never as good as your own. I already have my own umbrella.

Life is never as good as you imagine, nor as bad. Human fragility and strength both exceed our own imagination. Sometimes, I am so fragile that a single word brings me to tears; other times, I find myself gritting my teeth and walking a long, long way.

I recently saw a quote that I hope encourages you: I know you have been very tired lately—that invisible fatigue that is both physical and mental—but please, you must persevere. Even if no one cares, and even if you are not as skilled as others, do not let frustration and anxiety destroy your enthusiasm or your composure. Do not be greedy; we cannot have everything. Do not be discouraged; we cannot have nothing.

Later, I started dressing neatly and attractively, keeping my living space spotless. I stopped complaining, stopped being sloppy, and stopped being idle. When problems arose, I focused on solving them. I started to comfort myself, traveled to many places, spoke less, and found joy in moments spent alone. I started greeting people proactively, clearing away unnecessary things, making my own decisions, and giving my all to each other.
