I've Lost

I'm done

I'm done trying.

Apologies

Crawling on my knees

Smiling through the freeze

out between us

calmly bending with no fuss

getting nowhere fast

how long can I last

at this pace?

Flat on my face

asking for grace

looking you in the eye

eating humble pie

atoning for wrongs

long gone

still trying trying trying

to hold on to

you.

to something real

while losing touch- my feel

for the situation

losing the plot

but I'm not

Am I?

Have I already lost?

paid the cost?

Are we now through?

Have I lost

have I really

finally

forever

lost you?

Yes.

I am done.

sad poetry

This was the phase I was in back in 2013. It was a dark time in my life. I'm not completely out of it but I'm definitely wayyyy better. I hope you are okay though. Sending you lots of love and hugs ❀️

Let me add my hopes that you're ok! A very well-written piece, though.

I...apologize? Seriously, this was very heartfelt and deep... And are you okay?

You created a vivid picture of exhaustion and resolution in your poem. I hope this was good therapy to write.

Oh yes, what Sara said. The poor heart has to bear so much sadness, be kind to it, be kind to yourself and let your wings fly free. That is the only solution. Sometimes we can't see far enough ahead to see the stepping stones free our souls.

It's a hard realization when it finally hits. But when it does, you just KNOW it's right. Great work.

Too relatable. The rhymes feel like they came too easily. Hope you're alright <3
