This must be a joke

I wrote I'm scared to dream,
To wake up in a scream,
But life started to joke,
And now I don't wanna hear the clock.

I don't wanna wake up,
I don't want the makeup,
Don't wanna start the day,
Don't wanna go my way.

The last days were so hard,
I was always on guard,
The future makes me scared,
I know I'm not prepared.

I've dreamt of apocalypse,
I've dreamt of a big eclipse,
Zombies, things to make you shake,
But I feel more scared awake.

I woke up more scared to wake,
This really must be a joke,
I should feel better awake,
But I feel against the clock.

I wrote I'm scared to dream,
To wake up in a scream,
But life started to joke,
And now I feel against the clock.
