When I tried to get closer, they met me with hostility.
When I attempted to speak, my words twisted.
I tried to correct what I thought was an error, only to find there was no error.
They had already assigned the roles, and nobody could change them.
Everyone's meant to be themselves, to show their best side,
But they forced me to come out unprepared and then chastised me.
My mistakes didn't seem to matter to anyone,
Yet I apologized for the mistakes of others.
They never understood the power of words.
A simple “sorry” faded away,
As if they believed in different values.
Why aren't they punished for killing a soul?
Delegating tasks causes communication to break down.
They have almost nothing to do.
I've been called lazy, yet I'm the one doing all the work.
No one recognizes the difficulty of it all.
Meanwhile, they're just trying to distance themselves from the issue.
There’s no room for me there anyway,
Because I say things they don’t like.
I speak the truth, that sort of thing.
They hate the truth; their guilt is showing.
They can’t afford to fall into despair.
I remind them of their deeds,
And for that, they must punish me.
Confined to an invisible prison, inaccessible to all,
Where only truth can flourish, and nothing else.
