She wasn't really looking for anything live changing when she picked up her phone. After all, she had been through this before. A part of her was curious, a part just bored. Nothing to it. She was kind of shy. She had dated for fun, she had dated in desperation, she had been in what she had thought of as her Cinderella love story. Still, she was waiting for her forever.

He would tell her that he was just curious as to what would happen. He kept his personal info off, including his picture. But there was something about what he had written, it touched something deep within her. Although at that moment she really didn't know anything, it felt like she knew everything, and she knew something else. Before she even realized what had hit her, before she knew what she was saying, she said aloud, "He's the one."

Even so, she approached cautiously. After all, you never know. She kept waiting to find out she had been wrong, for him to ask for money or naughty pictures. But each day, they would just talk. He wanted to read some of her writings, they talked about their hopes and dreams and fears. As time went on, she realized one thing, this man was everything she had ever hoped for, and then some. It was as though the universe knew something before reality could catch up; he was the one.

As time went on, there was a small part of her that wondered. She wondered if he saw and felt what she did. Did he think of her as just a friend. Was she going to wake up one day to realize he was gone. Yet, he stayed. As they got to know each other, it became more obvious, these feelings of what was meant to be.

Both of them were trying to make sense of it, after all, they found one another at a time that neither was expecting it. It was so wonderful and real, they couldn't help but wonder if it were happening. But it was, and it had to be believed that it happened at exactly the time it was supposed to.

They took their time, growing this bond between them. Together, they grew, learned, and laugh. And as time went on, they loved. For a while, these words stayed on the surface, as both were afraid to speak them aloud. The first time they were spoken, it was a beautiful summer night on the lake. The stars were in the sky, and the moon gave off the most beautiful light on the lake. As they held hands looking at this amazing sight, they said they loved each other. The stars and moon seemed to twinkle with joy as their lips touched. This moment was indeed perfect.

They had long since learned that they neither were perfect. This made everything even more special as they learned to get through the hard times, as well as the good times. They didn't always agree with each other, but they were always there forever. One day they would walk down the aisle, just as she had always known that they would. Through the ups and downs, they came through together, and together, they would continue to come through it together.

As with passing year, that bond continued. One night, they sat on their porch, once again looking up at the night sky. As they held hands, her head lovingly laying on his shoulder, they couldn't help but laughed. It was hard to believe that there was ever a time when they were afraid. But they were glad that they took that chance to love and be loved. For with this chance came something truly wonderful. And even though life wasn't perfect, they did indeed live happily ever after.
